Intérêts de recherche

Chercheure scientifique à Agriculture et agroalimentaire Canada depuis 1998.  Elle poursuit un programme de recherche axé sur la réponse des plantes pérennes aux stress environnementaux, particulièrement le gel, dans un contexte de changements climatiques. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur les bases physiologiques, biochimiques et moléculaires de la tolérance au gel et à d’autres stress biotiques et abiotiques chez les espèces pérennes.  Les changements climatiques ajoutent de nouveaux défis à ses recherches. En effet, l’augmentation du CO2 atmosphérique, la diminution de précipitation sous forme de neige, le verglas et les périodes de sécheresse pendant l’été sont autant de facteurs qui affectent la survie des plantes et auxquels s’intéressent ses travaux actuels et futurs.
